Durra Saputera receives another NFES travel grant

At the 2025 NFES Formation Evaluation Seminar, Durra Handri Saputera (University of Bergen) received an NFES Student Travel Grant supporting the presentation of his latest work at the seminar. His work introduces an adaptive modelling method that improves the speed and reliability of interpreting electromagnetic measurements while drilling, making it easier to understand subsurface structures in real time. Durra has recently submitted his PhD thesis at the University of Bergen titled “3D Integral Equation Modelling and Inversion of Induction Logging Data”. He is looking for a permanent R&D position in industry, awaiting his scheduled defence. In the meantime, he continues developing the presented line of research started in collaboration with the Formation Evaluation Consortium at UT Austin through a DigiWells researcher grant.

This grant is not the first one that he has received from NFES. Last year, Durra received the Travel Grant as the only PhD student from Norway to have a paper accepted for the Stundet Contest of 2024 Annual SPWLA Symposium.
