Seminar will be held on 4th of November 2026, 09:00-15:30. The programme will consist of 8-9 talks. Coffee/tea, lunch, and refreshments will be provided, together with insights into Formation Evaluation and Petrophysics.
Event sponsorship opportunity:
To become a sponsor, please contact Annette Larsen alarsen@logtek.no.
Call for abstracts:
NFES would like to call for abstracts with submission deadline on 29th September 2026.
Themes and topics to be covered by the seminar are:
- Petrophysics and Formation Evaluation for Energy Transition and Emerging Subsurface Energy Applications
- New way of working – Applications of Machine learning digitalization, AI, Automation, Use of Surface data, Wired Drill Pipe etc. in formation evaluation.
- Advances in Logging, NMR, Borehole Imaging, and Core Evaluation Technologies
- Formation evaluation in challenging environments: Tight reservoirs, HPHT and complex wells
- Successful well performance: Petrophysical support beyond drilling - Completion, intervention and well integrity
- Integrated Field Case Studies and Lessons Learned
In addition, Norwegian University Students (MSc and PhD) are welcome to submit their work and studies. NFES would like to support the students, whose abstracts are approved, on their actual travel expenses capped at maximum of 5000 NOK per student.
